Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant in the Eye and Dental Clinic plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to the healthcare team in delivering patient care services. The primary focus of this position is to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients undergoing eye and dental procedures. The Nursing Assistant will work under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, dentists, and dental assistants, to help create a positive and efficient patient experience.

Job Description / Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Care : Provide direct patient care and assistance to individuals visiting the eye and dental clinic for various procedures, treatments, and consultations.Preparing Patients : Help prepare patients for eye and dental examinations, surgeries, or treatments by assisting with patient positioning, ensuring they are comfortable, and answering any questions or concerns they may have.Infection Control : Adhere to strict infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain a clean, sterile, and safe clinical environment.Equipment Management : Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized, organized, and ready for use.Patient Records : Record accurate patient information, vital signs, and other relevant data into electronic health record systems or paper charts as required.Patient Education : Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient education, including explaining procedures, post-operative care, and preventive measures for maintaining eye and dental health.Safety Measures : Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures and treatments, closely monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or complications.Emergency Response : Assist in emergency situations, promptly notify healthcare providers, and take appropriate actions to ensure the well-being of patients.Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, to provide coordinated and efficient patient care.Patient Transport : Help in transferring patients to different areas of the clinic or other healthcare facilities as needed.Administrative Support : Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and billing when required.Regulatory Compliance : Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all regulations and ethical standards related to patient information and privacy.Qualifications and Requirements :
Diploma in nursing or equivalent.Completion of a nursing assistant or medical assistant training program is preferred.Previous experience as a nursing assistant or medical assistant in a clinical setting, particularly in eye or dental care, is advantageous.Knowledge of medical terminology and basic eye and dental procedures.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients.Basic computer skills and proficiency in using electronic health record systems is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile and organized environment.Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.NB : Interested candidates should send cv to : gifty9166@gmail.com
