Blackstar Rail Limited, a newly established railway business based in Accra, Ghana, is currently engaged in supporting thrilling railway projects globally. We are on the lookout for passionate and determined young engineers, preferably female, to bolster our team. We specifically seek individuals residing close to our business office in Adjirigano.

As part of our expansion, we are offering entry-level positions for female engineers to join us as Junior Railway Consultants. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking various railway systems design studies, focusing on Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety analyses.

Your main responsibilities will include :

Assessing and understanding customer requirements.

Conducting Project RAM analyses, including FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), Statistical Reliability / Availability Analysis, and more.

Handling all Project Safety activities, such as safety analysis and production of safety submission documents.

Conducting trade-offs and redundancy optimization studies.

Collaborating closely with design engineers, technical architects, external customers, and suppliers to achieve mission objectives.

We understand that not all candidates may possess prior experience in all aspects of the role, and we are committed to providing comprehensive training. However, we value the following key skills and attributes at a personal level :

Proficiency in Excel with VBA macro development.

Familiarity with relevant standards in dependability and safety.

Strong report writing skills and familiarity with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Attention to detail and a keen interest in technology and railway transportation.
