Job description

A reputable general insurance company is seeking to recruit results-oriented persons for the following position : Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieves Branch GWP, renewal and new business target / objectives for the branch
  • Identifies, grows, develops, manager and retains potential and existing agents
  • Identifies, grows, develops, manages and retains potential and existing clients
  • Develops marketing strategies and plans to support the achievement of set targets, including prospects for new business, expand market opportunities and increase the market share
  • Analyses distribution channels on consistent basis and develops strategies for achieving sales targets
  • Identifies new business and product opportunities using relevant research tools / sector specific targeting / cold calling, etc strategies
  • Builds excellent business relations with existing clients by visiting them and providing the needed services to them at least once every quarter particular those contributing significantly to premium income targets
  • Manages the company’s reputable in the day-to-day activities to promote a good corporate image of the brand
  • Handle customer complaints efficiently and ensures good customer service
  • Submits weekly and monthly reports covering all production / marketing activities
  • Compiles fully with all NIC directives in the pursuance of the insurance business
  • Carries out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualification Required & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualification in insurance (At least Diploma or equivalent)
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience from the insurance industry, preferably general insurance, with at least 3 years in a similar position
  • Proven success in sales and demonstrable knowledge of the sales process
  • Confident negotiator and ability to close the deal
  • Strong client management skills
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Strong skills in researching and analyzing new business opportunities
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
  • Strong Communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
  • Location : Accra
