Job Purpose
- The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods, services, and works, ensuring value for money, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery.
- The role requires a strong understanding of construction procurement, contracts, and cost management, supported by a background in Quantity Surveying (QS).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement plans in line with project and organizational requirements including maintaining strong relationship with key suppliers and timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and service providersPrepare and review tender documents, contracts, and purchase ordersAnalyze costs, budgets, and supplier pricing to ensure cost efficiency and value for moneyCoordinate with project, finance, and QS teams to support project deliveryMonitor supplier performance and manage contractual obligationsEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff.Prepare procurement reports in the areas of but not limited to metrics, supplier performance and cost saving and maintain accurate recordsProvide QS services where required.Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related fieldBackground or experience in Quantity Surveying is an added advantageExperience in using the ERP system is a plus.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within construction or infrastructure projectsStrong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skillsLocation : Accra
