Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in an electrical engineering role within the plastic manufacturing industry. Proven expertise in industrial automation, control systems, and power systems design. Strong understanding of electrical codes, HSE regulations, and lean manufacturing principles. Ability to manage complex projects under minimal supervision. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Desirable Certifications : Certified Electrical Engineer (CEng or equivalent) PLC Programming Certification (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) OSHA or Electrical Safety Compliance Certification
- Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and automated equipment across the production line.
- Optimize and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems relevant to plastic manufacturing processes.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical equipment including extruders, injection molding machines, blow molding lines, and associated auxiliaries.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians and electricians, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with mechanical and production teams for seamless integration of new equipment and process improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, ISO regulations, and relevant environmental and industrial codes.
- Manage electrical contractors and liaise with vendors during projects or equipment upgrades.
- Evaluate energy usage and implement power-saving initiatives.
