Summary :
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s financial health. This role involves managing the general ledger, performing reconciliations, monitoring budgets, handling taxation, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in accounting principles and software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases
- Budget monitoring
- Reconciliation
- Taxation
- Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
- Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for external reporting
Qualifications :
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in accounting3+ years' minimum active accounting experienceHighly organized with excellent attention to detailAble to use XERO accounting software for accountingKEY COMPETENCIES :
Must have direct experience working as an accountant (minimum 3 years)Must live close to Weija (very important for your application to be considered) i.e Dansoman,Kasoa, Kaneshie, Mallam and surrounding areasA driving licence (advantageous)Must be able to use accounting softwares (XERO etc.)Must be able to start immediately
