Sales Manager

Job Purpose :

To lead and manage all sales activities of the paint store, including customer engagement, contractor / vendor relationship management, and revenue generation. Responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding customer base, and ensuring excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drive in-store and B2B sales to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Engage with walk-in customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable products and color solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, interior designers, and real estate developers.
• Develop and implement promotional campaigns, discounts, and store-level marketing to increase footfall and brand awareness.
• Ensure product availability, inventory management, and timely reordering of fast-moving stock.
• Train and guide store sales staff on product knowledge, upselling techniques, and customer service.
• Address customer complaints, returns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare daily / weekly / monthly sales reports and share insights with management.
• Stay updated on product developments, color trends, and competitor offerings.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 3 -7 years of experience in retail or B2B sales (preferably in retail paints, home décor, hardware, or FMCG).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with color mixing machines, paint finishes, and customer preferences is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office and POS / inventory systems.

• Monthly sales vs. target achievement
• New client / contractor accounts added
• Repeat customer rate and satisfaction scores
• Inventory turnover rate
• Store footfall and conversion ratio
