Job description

Role Purpose

  • The purpose of this role is to play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing out projects.
  • The ideal candidate is expected to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produces the desired results

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, objectives, scopes, schedules, etc involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility
  • Provide overall guidance on estimation of cost, time and resources required for seamless execution of onshore and mining related projects and scopes
  • Coordinate the preparation of tender documents and technical proposals
  • Lead in the development of estimates in response to RFQs / RFPs, sales and pre-construction scopes
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of onshore projects
  • Prepare work packs, method statements and procedures
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Identify, develop and initiate innovations and solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist
  • Qualification Required & Experience

  • BSc or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or related field from a recognised university
  • A professional project management certification will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge in engineering and project software is preferred
  • Skills & Experience required

  • Ability to recognised problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent and evaluate alternatives to find solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach
  • Ability to demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques which appropriately define alternate solutions, resolve conflicts and create lasting, productive partnerships with clients
  • Must have at least 5 to 8 years of working experience in the construction and / or the engineering industry
  • Ability to pro-actively engage present and future stakeholders in design, priority setting and implementation
  • Must have a demonstrable experience in writing technical proposals and reports
